Red Bordeaux – Chateau Greysac France, Wine Review
Red Bordeaux – Chateau Greysac, France
This Red Bordeaux hit some of the best-selling wine lists in 2009, and was a particular favorite in the US market. Whilst
the Europeans are moving towards more mature wines with more full-bodied flavors, the US market is looking at youthful wines with a little bit of zest. This Chateau Greysac wine is definitely a contender for one of the best Bordeaux’s of 2009, and has generate enormous critical praise. At just $20, this could be a great investment, as many writers and critics have said that it will need an extra few years in the cellar before it really hits it peak. However, if you want to drink it now, it will have a complex flavor profiles that includes cherries and mushrooms. Some have said that the back-end is a little bit lost, and the wine can sometimes feel a bit thin, but overall this is a solid effort that has hit the market at just the right time. If you’re looking for big flavors, then this is a great wine, but it’s definitely one that’s probably best for the more seasoned drinker. The reason is that only someone who really understands wines like this is going to be able to pick out the complex flavor patterns that it carries. If you’re not a serious drinker, you’ll probably still enjoy it greatly, but you just might struggle to really get full value out of the wine.
