Lake William – Jarvis Wines, Napa County Wine Review
Lake William – Jarvis Wines, Napa County
For those of you who don’t know already, the Lake William blend was made purely by accident after a mishap in the cellar.
Since then, however, it’s become one of the most desired blends of any wine in the world, combining the very best of some fabulous grapes. It’s a beautifully red wine that gives off plenty of color; while it certainly doesn’t look it’s just for easy drinking. That being said, the flavors are calm and subtle, with plenty of vanilla on the back-end which makes it extremely smooth. There are a number of other prominent flavors, but overall red fruits take the steering wheel and drive this wine to the front of the pack. It was one of the best selling wines of 2009 for good reason, and it will likely age from anything ranging between 5-10 years. It’s also an excellent investment, because demand for this Lake William is likely to spread like wildfire very quickly.
